Well for her new film Monika. And it looks like her sister Angela Vincent will be making her first debut in the film also congrats to her.  I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE director Steven R. Monroe’s next feature will be a revenge action/thriller entitled HOLE IN THE DESERT. Cerina Vincent (below, CABIN FEVER) – who previously worked for Monroe on IT WAITS, SASQUATCH MOUNTAIN and COMPLACENT – has signed on as one of the leads. Here is the plot: The film is a violent, edgy ride focusing on the forlorn Reagan Tyler, a man who is troubled by visions and premonitions that ultimately lead him to a small desert town. It’s there that Reagan meets the beautiful and mysterious Monika (Vincent), a young woman who turns out to have been killed the night before he even met her. Reagan is then forced to put the puzzle together of what happened, how she is still present, and help Monika with her revenge on the killers of her younger sister. Monroe had this to say about the project: “All involved are very excited that we are doing this film. For me to have the opportunity to write and direct, and then on top of that be a producer makes it all that much better. Though it was also a great project to be a part of, this film is very different from I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE. We are assembling a great cast for HOLE IN THE DESERT; Cerina Vincent is already onboard to play the tough, beautiful and vengeful Monika.” Vincent, who will also serve as an executive producer, added: “I am just thrilled to be a part of this. It’s truly an honor to work with director Steven R. Monroe again. His script is incredible – it’s got wit, edge, and depth… His vision for this will make for an edgy, sexy, suspenseful ride with moments of tenderness and some intense violence.” The independently financed feature is scheduled to begin filming in June and is expected to be completed in early September.
